Hello and Welcome!
Hi, I’m Heather a mom of seven, full-time homemaker, baker of all things carbs, and the woman who somehow manages to keep everyone fed on a homestead that never slows down.
If you’ve stumbled in here looking for perfection, you might want to turn back now. Around here, there are crumbs on the counter, flour on my shirt, and probably a baby on my hip and a toddler at my feet. But there’s also warmth, good food, and a whole lot of laughter.
I started this Substack because, truthfully, I was tired of writing on a blog where people skipped straight to the recipe card. I wanted a space where we could actually talk about motherhood, homemaking, and the daily chaos that somehow still leads to dinner on the table.
This space is for those juggling it all the moms, the home cooks, the “just trying my best” crowd who keep showing up anyway.
What You’ll Find Here
I share stories from our homestead, pantry staples we actually use, and from-scratch recipes that make feeding a family feel doable (and sometimes even fun).
If you’re a free subscriber, you’ll get:
Real-life updates from the homestead
Encouragement for everyday homemaking
A sprinkle of recipes + seasonal reflections (full recipes are subscription based)
For those seeking a little more…
The Kitchen Table Collective is my paid subscriber community. Here, we pull our chairs in closer, roll up our sleeves, and dig into the practical tools and recipes that make homemaking and feeding a family feel lighter.
For $5/month (or $55/year, 1 month free), members get:
3 Exclusive Recipes Every Month – bread, pantry staples, and family-friendly meals you won’t find anywhere else. They are published on Fridays.
Seasonal Collections – holiday baking guides, pantry mixes, and timely homemaking resources.
Early Access to New Publications: Be the first to grab my books and special releases.
Why Subscription?
Because this space is reader-supported and every paid subscription helps me keep sharing the real, behind-the-scenes life of feeding a family of eight on a homestead.
For less than the price of a loaf of bread (which, let’s be honest, I’m probably baking anyway), you can help keep this kitchen running and get a few secret recipes along the way.
So grab a cup of coffee or tea, pull up a chair, and settle in. There’s always room at the table.
